PRODUCT/SERVICE OVERVIEW
OpenACircle (OAC) is a service offered to you which provides you with an online meeting and an information sharing environment for you and those you invite into your shared environment (Circle). You will be able to create or join more than one Circle. As such, information that you choose to upload (assets) or display (personal information) in a Circle will be available to anyone who is a member of that Circle. Each Circle is password protected and the design intent is that only these people will be able to view the information and/or assets in that Circle. No one will be able to enter the site and search for you to see if you are a member. All invitations into your Circle(s) are made through external notifications using email. Every effort will be made by OAC to provide you and the members of a Circle with a secure environment in which you will be able to plan, communicate and make decisions.

PRIVACY STATEMENT
OAC has the utmost respect for your privacy. We understand your need for privacy when using the Web for communication and accomplishing your goals. When you register with "OpenACircle", information is collected as part of the registration process. We will ask for your name, gender, valid email address, password and physical address. In addition you will be asked for other elective personal information which you may wish to provide. Your personal information is accessible by you under "My Account" and can be modified or changed at any time. This information is used to provide enhanced services to you and to personalize your experience on our website. Although the services available on the site are predominantly free (and will remain so), some enhanced services, either now or in the future, may be presented on a fee basis. For fee based services OAC will ask for credit card information for services ordered online. As such personally identifiable information will only be used for the purpose of processing payments, updating our records, communicating with you about products and services and generally maintaining your account with us. We will not share, sell, trade or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties for unknown reasons.

BUSINESS INFORMATION
As the originator of a circle and the administrator of that circle you will have certain options regarding editing and distribution of information in that circle and who has access to that information. Information in a Circle is considered by OAC to be proprietary to the administer of that Circle and employees of OAC will not have access to that information unless the administrator or a member of the Circle grants the right to view that information for the purpose of solving technical problems associated with that Circle.

OAC does track user activity without personally-identifiable information. This data is used to perform routine maintenance predict usage and traffic patterns that will enable OAC to deliver a high value service to users of the site. This information may also be used to provide targeted advertising to individual users based on broad user profiles. We do not correlate this information with personally identifiable data about individual users. OAC will not provide any personally identifiable information to business affiliates or third parties.

PARTNERS
In some cases OAC will provide services or sell product lines jointly with other businesses. For these selected or co-branded offerings in which a third party is involved in your transactions, OAC will sometimes share or jointly collect customer information related to those transactions with that third party. On the co-branded registration pages we will state who is collecting or receiving the information and whose privacy statement governs its use so that you will know at the time you create your account exactly how your information will be used.

SURVEYS
In addition to required member information, OAC may conduct surveys and ask users to volunteer demographic information to be used on an aggregate basis for internal market research, presentation to advertisers and joint research projects with outside companies involved in product development. We use such information to better focus our product and personalize the scope of services offered to each individual user. Such information will not be passed to third parties without your prior consent unless where required by applicable law.

SECURITY
The nature of a Circle is to share information with selected participants (members) in that Circle. Information placed in a Circle is available to all members who can then download that information to their computer. Neither you, as an administrator, or other members of the Circle have any control over information downloaded by another member of that Circle. It is incumbent on the members in a Circle to only share information on the basis that it may be viewed by others who are not members of that Circle. OAC's role in providing a secure environment is to provide standard industry encryption techniques to safeguard the OAC server(s) and the transport layer from unauthorized access to information. OAC may collect certain standard information about your computer for security and identification purposes. This information may include: IP address, domain names, access times and other uniquely identifying information of machines that have downloaded and installed the OAC software. This information is used for the operation of the service, to identify and protect our customers and to control unauthorized use or abuse of our services. All information is encrypted during transmission and is stored securely within our servers.

OAC makes no representation to protect the Copyright of Third Parties in the use of the OAC site by registered users. All data and information placed, stored or transmitted during the course of using the site will be the responsibility of the user.
